The Anique Dress!! (Part 2)

I love it when a client gives detailed descriptions of what they want when they order from House of Rubi! Some people get really creative with their requests : D

Adrienne the CEO of Janomi Hair products ordered the “Anique Dress” for her cousin’s wedding. House of Rubi offer’s three fabric print selections for the dress.  Solid colored selections includes black, white, cream, red, and navy blue.

The Chandelier Print.                         Gold Flower Print.                                Heart Swirl Print.

Adrienne picked the Gold Flower Print Fabric for her dress. Gold Flower Print features purple, green, turquoise floral designs framed in a geometrical black and gold background.

According to her preferences, we customized the dress to feature a scope neckline at front and back. The original  “Anique Dress” falls above the knees.  Adrienne requested a knee length fuller skirt with tulle peaking out at the bottom.

Usually when a client contacts House of Rubi with a customized order,  I draw a sketch based upon the client’s requests

Then, I email the client with images of the sketch, and chosen fabric. Adrienne wasn’t sure if she wanted gold or black tulle. She knew her shoes would be gold and was leaning more towards gold tulle.

We both decided on black!

After everything is decided and confirmed. I measure the client, create a pattern, and cut the fabric.

After cutting, I then sew up the pieces and press the seams open. This is done so that the finished product looks pressed and polished.
